Been with Vince for: 18 months!
Happy 30th birthday to Chibe!
Woke up to the sun peaking through my curtains, felt great! Sunny days just give me a burst of energy. I got up to watch an episode of SBTB with the subliminal messages that made everyone want to date Zack. After that, caught episode 9 and 10 of the Korean drama while knitting more hats. The drama makes me so hungry because they always eat yummy food come breakfast/lunch/dinner time.

The time was approaching 10:30am, the time i'd be heading to PT if it were a M, W, or F, so i treated it like it was a PT day. Prepared to go to the gym so I could bike while watching the real housewives of NJ on NBC. During commercial breaks I caught up with the latest issue of Us Weekly. I learned that Rihanna was found canoodling with Ryan Philippe, Xtina Aguilera solves her stress by eating, and that Bethenny Frankel (real housewives of NY/bethenny getting married/bethenny ever after) used to babysit Paris and Nicky Hilton when they were little. After biking, went to LA boxing to do upper body work and treadmill at 2.5 woot woot! I met a former boxer who started chatting it up with me after I had gotten on the treadmill. He saw my brace and asked if I had surgery. Then we went on about how important it is to get even the most minor injury checked out. He was dripping sweat with a hoodie on, wraps on his hands, and intense laced up boxing shoes. This guy was serious. As soon as I knew it, I was approaching 15min on the treadmill because we were into our conversation. I slowed the treadmill down to a stop because I didn't wanna overwork the knee. Going to the gym has really lifted my spirits because everyone i've interacted with in the past 2 days have been really positive, it's encouraging.

my beloved speedbag :o) |
While speedbagging my frustrations and thoughts out, I made the decision to get an iphone, and that was final. Since January I've been going month to month with my current phone. What made me really want to get one is when I got my most recent phone bill... I know other people who pay less than me who have way more phone features. It was just a matter of me getting over not being a t-mobiler because I had been with them since my very first cell phone back in '99 right before freshman year at Loyola. I got nervous about the change. So after my workout session, headed to the new apple store in lincoln park. I already had a script in my head on what to ask once I got a worker's attention. I was surprised to walk in and not get bombarded with workers, so I lingered and pretended I knew what I was doing with the iphones as i played with the screen. Finally a man named Jon approached me with "Is there something I can help you with? I saw you looking at the iphones". I went on with my scripted schpeel about how i've been wanting to get one, scared of switching services, don't know which one to switch to, and is it gonna get a lot of getting used to. Jon introduced me to another customer, Billy. Billy was also with t-mobile and was wanting to know the difference with verizon and at&t. I bit my lip so much because I was so nervous! It was like I was choosing which guy I wanted to go on a date with, verizon or at&t. In a nutshell, verizon has an unlimited data plan. The main difference Jon pointed out was that with verizon, you can't multitask, as in you can't use GPS while on the phone with someone, and can't text. After a lot of explanation, at&t got the final rose and I got the phone. What was cool was that my ipod had died so I mentioned that I was looking to get another. But Jon said the iphone is an ipod too! plus, it would come with headphones. BONUS! more bang for my buck. Vince had to correct me with my initial saying of, "more money for my buck". Whoopsy Goldberg (got that saying from Lis). When I first started speaking with Jon, took me a while to get past his 2 dreadlocks that were abnormally longer than the rest of his others. Anydreadlock, Billy left empty handed, he just wanted more explanation on the plans. I learned that he was a graphic designer and drove a jetta. His blood type was....just kidding. So I told Jon about how I had just gotten a macbook and how my boyfriend is trying to get me to join the apple world. I asked if I could take a pic of him opening the iphone case for this blog. He got all excited and took the camera from me and took candids of the moment:

I didn't think Jon would get this into it |

getting all artistic on me, didn't know he shot this one |

he got his coworkers to join in on the senior picture photoshoot. I like the pose of homeboy in the middle
Jon's exact words were, "you're gonna blow it up! after these pictures go on your blog, you're gonna blow it up!" so funny, he was especially excited about that last picture with his expert friends. After the photoshoot, Jon introduced me to Susan, who helped me transfer all my contacts from my old samsung to the new friend. Such a nice woman, she saw my little hello kitty screen cleaner on my old phone and mentioned that she has a hello kitty hair dryer! she had me at hello kitty hair dryer. I showed her my hello kitty swarovski crystal purse hook Vince got me, and she was wowwed. After that, she was so lovely to help me out with how to get apps, how to organize my screen, and how to face time talk! We face time talked for a couple seconds til we realized how stupid we looked giggling while doing it. She showed me how to take pics and video, then showed a video on her phone of her niece. Her niece was wearing a hello kitty shirt! Anyhoo, I had a great 2 hour experience at apple and am now confident about owning a new phone. I figured this is the best time to get one too, because i can use my free time to figure it out, get to know it... I love how this blog has gone from strictly knee talk to the adventures in my life. What would I have done if my right knee was injured? No adventures outside of my home because I wouldn't have been able to drive for 6 weeks! I would've gone super crazy! All you would be seeing are update pics of the knee with plum sheet background. OMG I have an iphone! Let's celebrate the history of my phones (please view to the sounds of "the way we were" by the great Barbra Streisand) The way we were |

phones come and go, but kitty will never die |
After i got back to my place, I got so thrown off by my first phone call from Vince. I even proceeded to converse (not the all star shoe) with the headphones! the headphones themselves have volume control, this is nutrageous! Gotta get used to the ring tone and the touching of the screen and basic handling of the phone. I'm still holding it with 2 hands scared that it'll slide away. slippery lil sucker. Btw, happy 18 month anniversary to my heart! He asked me what he should eat for dinner. My answer was, "an APPLE!" Gonna end this day with some jersey shore, some korean drama, and playing with my new phone! I'll probably stare at it for a while first. Happy day! I love how yesterday I blogged about how I was scared to go out and spend money. Whoopsy Goldberg! Now wish me luck in getting my heel to touch my butt tomorrow at PT so I can save myself a $25 copay a week, like how
geico can save you money on car insurance (15 minutes could save you 15 percent or more on car insurance).
