Saturday: hours of sleep were broken so can't really put a number here
I woke up Saturday all groggy and couldn't go back to sleep for some reason. Straight up lazy. The weather conditions didn't help either. I made that a reason for me to stay in to do a marathon of my Korean drama. I would also liked to attribute my laziness to contracting Bieberitis the day before. I think being out all day Friday overexerted the knee, I had no energy! To not feel useless, I painted my nails:
nail color in honor of Biebs. |
Left leg 36cm, right leg 39cm
Next up was the girth around the meatiest part of my calves:
Left leg 30cm, right leg 31cm
That's all I have to say about my Saturday. I told you it was lazy!

One thing I'd like to discuss is the soundtrack. The songs in the series are so catchy, even in Korean! There would be times I'd catch myself singing outloud in Korean not knowing what the frick I was singing. Then I'd laugh. They used the same 4 or 5 songs and would loop them. One of them sounded Nip/Tuck-ish when something mischievous happens. But for the most part, the songs are romantical or happy. There's one in particular that brings me back to the 80s. You be the judge:

Now listen to this one:

thoughts? Bueller? Bueller? It's like how Gaga's "born this way" was compared to madonna's "express yourself".
Anyhoo, I decided to feel productive while finishing the last couple episodes to make up for the lack of getting out of bed on Saturday. So, I hula-hooped! Figured that if I was doing all these balance on one leg exercises at PT, this would be a good way to balance the knee while working the abs. Funny thing is, while I was hula-hooping, I realized i was watching this series on...HULU! haha, cooicidence? I think not!
Hula hooping while watching Hulu. I also own a skip-it. what. |
i need to enter a contest like this! |
easy as pie! couldn't believe i could pull it that close! |
that knee went up like that with no help from other extremities! but check out that nasty long incision |
Btw, that pic was taken with my iphone :o) I got over that excitement and proceeded to finish the last 3 episodes. I was determined. Here's another thing i liked about the series, minis represent!
After finishing the series I was sad that it was over but happy with the way things ended. Not only did it distract me from some painful knee exercises, I feel edumacated for watching it, only took me less than a week to finish the 25 episodes. For someone who HATES to read, the quality of this series kept me so interested that I was willing to read all those frickin subtitles. I think i can add "korean" to my list of languages i know on my facebook profile. Vince told me one time he watched a 128 episode korean drama, holy cannoli! He said they really like to have their characters pass out or have something happen with their eyes (i.e. go blind). Mine had a LOT of passing out scenes, obnoxious eating, kicking scenes resulting in bloody noses, and fashion statements. The eating scenes honestly made me want to drive to Chinatown or Argyle to get a large supply of ramen noodles. The other thing that caught my attention was the crazy fashion! The guys especially! Jenny had said that once i get over the gay-ness of the guys, I'd appreciate the series. It was true because I really liked their style. Only those guys could pull off white skinny jeans, tight halter vest over tucked in baggy dress shirt, long tailed dress coats, loose fitting fedora over Bieber perm. The main female character (JanDi) had about 4 pairs of doc martens and interchanged them with her subtle hirajuku girl style. Also, each character was so talented athletically, musically, and fashionably! Again, Steven kept up with me and updates via text. especially in the last couple of episodes. Btw i love iphone texting! But yes, I guess it takes good food scenes, cute gutsy fashion, and a nice storyline to get me to watch a foreign series that forces me to read READ!
After getting over the sadness that I finished Boys Before Flowers, I went for my workout to bike and treadmill. Same ol' same ol'. Then it was time for a birthday dinner for Sharon at Publican (The Publican). In the middle of dinner, leg started to feel throbby. Noticed that whenever leg is in the same position for a while without too much movement, it starts to feel sore. To get it to move nicely again, have to do a mini massage. The seating is different there where it's like a long cafeteria table, so you have to get friendly with strangers. I tried to massage the leg discretely as to not scare my neighbor. We noticed there was a lot of hustle and bustle at the next table, so look over to see the following:
Here's a taste of my fav dish (we ordered 4 total).
